Später gründete er in Olten den Walter Verlag, den er zu einem der renommiertesten Verlagshäuser im deutschsprachigen Raum aufbaute. Otto Walter war aber weit mehr als nur Verleger: Er war Drucker, Redaktor und Schriftsteller. Und er gehörte dem Solothurner Kantonsrat und während vierzehn Jahren dem Nationalrat an. In diesem Buch berichtet er packend über die Pionierzeit der Schweizer Aviatik und seine Freundschaft mit dem Flieger-Ass Oskar Bider Death Place:
