Biblio: Laura graduated from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) with a double degree in Political Science and Economics. She also holds an MSc (Distinction) in Development Economics and Policy from the University of Manchester. Before returning to Manchester to pursue her PhD, she worked at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) for over three years conducting research on poverty and inequality issues from an international development perspective. For her PhD studies, Laura obtained a Research Impact scholarship from the Division of Development and Alumni Relations of the University of Manchester, and support from the Economics Discipline Area. She joined the Development Economics RAG where her current research focuses on health inequalities with empirical applications to developing countries
