Nach Kriegsende auf Erlaß der US-Militärregierung aus seinem Hochschulamt entlassen; 1948 von der Berufungskammer freigesprochen und wieder mit einem Lehrauftrag für Hygiene und der vertretungsweisen Leitung des Heidelberger Instituts betraut; Emeritierung 1951.
