Biblio: 2007-08 EU Fellow at the MacMillan Center, is a visiting fellow from the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission in Brussels, where she holds the post of Economic Adviser. Over the past 16 years, she has worked on various issues relating to economic integration in Europe. These include: preparations for economic and monetary union and the introduction of the euro as the single currency of the 13 countries that comprise the euro area; the integration of European labor markets; the reform of pension systems; and more recently, the integration of countries of Central Eastern Europe. Prior to joining the European Commission, she held various teaching post at universities in Ireland, Italy, and the United Kingdom
