B:1980Erlangen Biblio: Florian Janik (geboren 1980) studierte von 2000-2005 Sozialwissenschaften an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. 2010 erfolgte die Promotion zum Dr. rer.pol. Von 2005 bis 2014 war er Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung der Bundesagentur für Arbeit. 2002 wurde Janik erstmals in den Erlanger Stadtrat gewählt und übernahm 2008 den SPD-Fraktionsvorsitz. Seit 2014 ist er Oberbürgermeister der Stadt Erlangen, seit 2017 zudem Bezirksvorsitzender Mittelfranken im Bayerischen Städtetag.
