Biblio: BA 1979 from the University of British Columbia, LLB degree in 1985 from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Ontario LLM degree 1991 from Harvard Law School. Senior Lecturer in Media and Information Law and also Deputy Head of School (Education), having joined the Dickson Poon School of Law in 1994; previously a Lecturer in Law at the University of Manchester; In 1982, he also completed a two year Continuing Studies Programme in History at Nanjing University in the Peoples' Republic of China. Before becoming an academic, he practiced law with the Canadian firm of Bull, Housser and Tupper in Vancouver and Shanghai (198). He was also employed as a full time consultant in the Attorney General’s Chambers of the Government of Hong Kong from 1989 to 1991.
