B:1955 Biblio: Ο Αποστόλης Φιλιππόπουλος είναι καθηγητής στο Τμήμα Οικονομικής Επιστήμης του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (πρώην ΑΣΟΕΕ). Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1955 και είναι παντρεμένος με δύο παιδιά. Σπούδασε Οικονομικά στο Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών και στη συνέχεια απέκτησε μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο στα Οικονομικά από την ΑΣΟΕΕ, και διδακτορικό από το Birkbeck College στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Λονδίνου. Από το 1989 μέχρι και το 1996 δίδαξε στο University of Essex στην Αγγλία. Είναι ερευνητικός εταίρος του CESifo στο Μόναχο. H έρευνά του επικεντρώνεται στους τομείς της Μακροοικονομικής Θεωρίας και Πολιτικής. Μελέτες του έχουν δημοσιευθεί σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά, όπως στο Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Economic Journal, Journal of International Economics, Review of Economic Dynamics, Economica, European Journal of Political Economy, Public Choice, κλπ.
