Biblio: Deakin Univ., Geelong, Australia ; Professor of Migration Ethics and Human Rights at the Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) in the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Doha, Qatar (since 2014). From 1975-1986 at the Flinders University of South Australia, he received his BA in Psychology and Sociology, First Class Honours in Sociology and PhD in Economic Sociology. After teaching Sociology in several universities in Australia, he spent 6 years at the American University of Beirut from 1999 where he began researching and publishing on human rights issues concerning migrant domestic workers and conducted the first survey of domestic workers in the region.
