Vítor Manuel Ribeiro Constâncio, GCC, GCIH (born 12 October 1943) is a Portuguese economist and academic who served as Vice President of the European Central Bank from 2010 to 2018. He previously served as Governor of the Bank of Portugal from 1985 to 1986 and 2000 to 2010. Constâncio graduated in economics from the University of Lisbon, and obtained a master at the University of Bristol.
